Case Study “DER STANDARD”: The role of a centralized DAM in the new media workflow
Times of India Group (BCCL)
The “Times of India,” established in 1838, is the world’s largest English-language newspaper. Its COMYAN system already manages 70 million assets.
For over twenty years, editors across 25 centers have effectively utilized the COMYAN Image System and Agency Text System. We offer support for all regional Indian languages. Users have the ability to search our comprehensive newspaper archive, which includes articles and pages dating from 1838 to the present. To achieve this, we have integrated with three CMS and migrated numerous legacy archives into our central system. Additionally, BCCL receives thousands of video clips monthly, contributing to our system’s status as the most extensive and complete Content Backbone, housing over 70 million assets in a single database.
