Editors use our cool new widget to quickly find images and drag them into the CMS. They use our powerful web user interface with advanced search and browsing capabilities. Users can find all assets within a single search, or they can do fine-grain power searches for specific media types. Editors can collect assets in named “Boxes” and share them with their team. Archivists edit meta data and use flexible, customizable workflows.

Besides humans, also your other systems need to access your asset management system. Even developers of your website will want to search and retrieve content from the archives. For them, we created a powerful, well-documented RESTful Web API with some great sample code to start with.

Times Group (India) uses COMYAN to manage already 70+ million images, texts, articles and pages of 150 newspapers since 1838.
Our architecture is highly scalable, while at the same time based on an industry-leading, proven database system. Consequently, it relies on three pillars: The SQL database (Microsoft SQL Server, stores all meta data), the Search Engine (that makes searches really fast), and an arbitrary large file system for storing the binary large objects (BLOBs).
Besides on premises, we also operate and provide our system as SaaS in the cloud, based on world-class infrastructure from Azure.
Real Time Analytics Data
We integrated analytics right into the asset management database
By integrating analytics into our system (starting with the E-Paper), we are able to add analytics data – like clicks on an article – to the asset management system, even in real time. So you can quickly make searches like “show me the most-read articles about this topic in the last month” in the same system and UI.
